1. What Jacquard Changes About the Pattern

Most mesh on this site is plain: the same cell repeats across the width for as far as the machine runs. A jacquard spacer is different. The pattern is made while knitting, by selecting needles across the bed, rather than by printing or embossing after the cloth is off the machine.

Two things follow. The motif is structural, so it cannot crack, peel or wash away - there is nothing applied to the surface to lose. And the pattern is a tooling decision: it has to be set up on a jacquard-capable frame, which is why this article is filed under Jacquard Spacer Fabrics rather than with the plain meshes.

For a bedding programme that means the design can belong to the customer, so long as it fits within the repeat the machine can carry.

2. Yarn Dyed, So the Design Comes Out in the Cloth

The attribute table gives the Pattern as Yarn Dyed, and that pairs directly with the jacquard construction. Colour sits in the yarn before the needles ever move, and the jacquard then places those yarns to build the motif, so a two-colour design is knitted in rather than printed on.

Repeatability follows from the same fact. Shade is fixed upstream, at the yarn, rather than in the dye bath of a finished roll, so a reorder can be run again without matching a print batch.

3. Two Claims That Need Different Evidence

The feature list carries both anti-pill and anti-bacteria, and they are not the same kind of claim.

Anti-pill is largely a property of the knit. Pilling starts when loose fibre ends work their way to the surface and tangle; a fine, tightly knitted face has few ends to work free, so there is less to pill with. That is built into the structure rather than added to it, and it does not wash out.

Anti-bacteria is a treatment, and a treatment needs evidence. Before that word goes on your packaging, settle which standard is used, how many washes the performance survives, and whether the agent has been checked against the skin-contact certificate this article holds. 4. A Fine Mesh: 2 to 3 mm at 280 gsm

The specification label on the product image gives 2-3 mm and 280 gsm, and the photographs match it: the cells are small ovals, closely set, rather than the wide openings of a coarse spacer. The surface is a fine, even knit with a subtle pattern running through the repeat.

A mesh like this is a facing rather than a filling. It lies flat, quilts cleanly and adds little bulk, which is what a mattress cover panel wants - unlike a 10 mm or 20 mm spacer, which is chosen when the layer itself has to supply loft and cushioning.

5. Width, and Why It Is Worth Confirming

Width is given on the specification label as 220 cm, and the attribute table carries a 58/60 inch figure as well. On a mattress cutting plan those are not interchangeable: 220 cm and 150 cm yield very different panels from a roll. Confirm the width you need with your enquiry and we will quote to it.

At 220 cm the roll covers wide cover panels and quilting widths without a join, which is usually the reason a bedding programme specifies it.

8. Certification

This article carries OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, renewed every year. The certificate deals with restricted substances - the first thing a bedding buyer's compliance team will request - and it is also the document that matters when the anti-bacteria route has to be checked against skin contact.

At plant level, ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health and safety) are all held, IATF 16949 comes into scope for automotive programmes, and Walmart and Sedex social audits are repeated annually.

The line-up on this page runs RD6, RD7, RDJ5-1 and High Distance double needle bar frames in gauges G12 to G28. Jacquard work is what the RDJ model is built for: the piezo jacquard double needle bar raschel is the frame used for patterned spacer textiles, and running one in-house is what allows a customer's motif to be developed rather than bought in.
