Is the fabric itself recyclable?

The roll is a single polymer - 100% polyester - so it can enter a polyester recycling stream. What happens to the finished cover depends on the other layers in it: keep the build mono-material and that option stays open.

Is the grey ground a separate layer that could come away?

No. Both colours are knitted in from dyed yarns, so there is nothing laminated and no second layer to separate.

What thickness should we specify?
